Child development in different cultures.
It can be noted that not all children from different cultures have the same kind of training and teaching. There are those that are being left behind because they do not have the things needed to promote proper child development.
You cannot expect those from the lower class of society to have the same development compared to those in the higher society that are complete with the necessary tools and training.
This is why those from more civilized cultures get to enjoy the proper teaching along with tools to aid in child development. While those who do not have the capacity for these things are making the most of what little they have and alternative tools.
Parents are also aware of this fact. This is the main reason why a lot of families are migrating to other countries. They are always on the search for greener pastures with which their children can grow up into. They know that the things their children will enjoy and learn are far better than those that they have back where they came from.
The clash in culture during child development.
Children who have adapted another culture will see that there will be complications once they are in their development stages. Those who have been taught about their true culture will become confused about the new things that are taught to them in their new culture.
There are those children who tend to forget the culture that they have been brought up with once they have set foot on another culture. Since they are in their child development stages, it is apparent that they will learn what taught to them now. The past teaching will be forgotten.
There are learning institution that children can get into where their culture is being focused on no matter what country they are in. An example of this is in terms of religion. There are schools that are especially made for the teaching of Islam and there are those for Christianity.
Since these are two clashing part of cultures, it is important that there are institutions focusing on maintaining what children have originated from. This is one way of respecting the kind of culture that children have been born into.
Reacting to different cultures.
Part of child development is to teach children about the differences among individual. Children are taught that they are unique and so are others.
Parents should not be surprised once their children started making friends with other those from other cultures. It can be noted that in one country alone, there are diverse cultures existing. Therefore, children will encounter one or two of these cultures once they start interacting with other people. At first, these children will be surprised at the differences that they have. But then, they will learn how to deal with them later on.
This is what teachers should be teaching children. They should take into account that children from different culture have undergone different kinds of teachings. And their development may not be the same also.
Expect to see those who are well developed for their age and those who seem to be lagging behind. The kind of culture that they have may be one of the factors that have caused these differences.
The kind of culture that children are in is important in their development. It will determine what and how much they know.
