Handling The Risky Behavior Of The Teens

The behavior of the teens changes as they grow. The trust in the peer group grows as the teens grow. The teens go through a lot of changes physically as well as emotionally during the teen age. Hence, they start distancing from the parents and the family and start trusting the friends much more than the family. This at first may not seem a problem but later on the rift between he parents and the teen can be mush of a risk. This is a risky behavior as the teen then starts lying and do not trust talking about their feelings and issues with the parents. The parents can’t do much, but wait for the right moment to talk.

The fears:

The situations that are caused by the teens have a lot of impact on themselves first. In the middle years, the teens feel the urge of being with their peers more than being with the family. This may at first not look wrong. But again if the peer group is not good there are chances of the teen being taken apart by the friends. The teen then starts adapting himself to the styles and the look of the friends. Eventually if the child has the tendency of not having a control over his feelings, it does not take time for the child to fall prey to taking drugs. Hence, parents should be vigilant in the growing years of the teens. Such risky behavior can take its toll on the health too. If the teens are not given the right knowledge there are chances that the teens might tread away and in turn have a wrong impression in the society. It’s very necessary for the parents to talk to the teens about the problems that they face so as to have the remedy to the problem that can be created. Sessions of interactive talks wherein the child can talk out his mind and the parents can put forth their ideas too can be helpful. Putting the teens for the young classes that are organized for the teens especially can be helpful.
