Spring Activities For Kids





Parents usually have a hard time in making their children busy during the spring season. What they are more adept in is about winter when Christmas is celebrated and summer when they go to the beach or spend an outdoor camping with the whole family.

Being a parent during the spring time can really be a difficult task. Sometimes, parents would even consult a friend, an experienced parent or an expert who knows something about keeping the kids occupied on spring.

You see, kids are difficult to please. Providing him or her with new toys or new online games would be easy, but kids usually get easily bored with them. If you think that won’t help, then introduce your kids to the following spring activities for children:

* Spring Planting

Kids who love planting will definitely like spring planting done inside your house. Assist your kids in planting by cutting the carrot tops. Then let your kids put each carrot top on a dish with pebbles. Then, ask your kids to put some water on the dish to cover up the carrot’s bottom. Let your kids hide each dish on a place where there is moderate sun light. Your kids will be excited to see their plants as it begins to sprout.

* Clouds

Ask your kids to make some clouds made of paper. Some kids are really artistic. Let your children discover the skills and creativity they have through cloud making. Reward the one who could make the best and neatest cloud form.

* Rainbows

Rainbows are one of the most beautiful creations which you can see in the sky. By letting your kids make a drawing of a rainbow, you can identify who among already know how to use and distinguish different colors. Try to also create rainbows out of different materials. Some kids love rainbow because of its attractive colors. Discover if your children belong to those who love rainbow as much as you do during your childhood years.

* Branches of the Spring

Ask your kids to collect some broken braches with flowers and place them in a vase with water. Give a token to the kid who could give you the most attractive flower. In this way, you are not only letting your kids know that you care for them but also, you are making them appreciate the beauty of nature.

* Flower Making

If your kids are all girls, it can be possible to ask them to make flowers made out of paper. Provide them with crepe papers of different colors. Then, ask your little girls to make flowers of their choice. You can set time to this activity and give a reward to the one who can create a beautiful flower on time.

* Spring Cleaning

During spring, let your kids have pails of water, rags, squirt bottles, dusting rags and feather dusters. Let your kids scrub the tables and chairs, dust, squirt and wipe the windows. Some kids love to clean especially when their parents allow them to do so. In this activity, you are teaching your children the importance of cleanliness to each person. Just make sure to make a game out of it so it doesn’t feel like work.

* Rain

What about engaging them into water play? Fill your buckets with water and put some cups and plastic boats. Let them have fun for hours. They will surely love it.

Spring activities are fun and enjoyable. Active kids will definitely get busy and occupied once you allow them to play and be involved with any of these activities. But of course, ensure your children’s safety before starting any spring activity. Remember, everything can be a great fun when you use your creativity, see the world in spring in a child like wonder.
