This video clip features the children of All Saints Cathedral, a congregation of the Church of Uganda in Kitgum. The children were asked to sing a song of greeting to the people of America. The song encourages people to live Godly lives and resist the temptation alcohol.
Many of these children are orphans, made so by the war. Many more children play outside the single room, mud brick building. “We have many more children who should be in Sunday school,” the teacher explains. “But we do not have room for all of them.”
The Church of Uganda in Kitgum works side by side with the Lutheran World Federation, building latrines, caring for children and bringing relief and development to the people of this war weary land.
