As your child grows, the area of care and interest of the parents is the peer group and the company that the child is in. For teenagers now a day there is much scope of getting in bad company as they go with the flow. If proper care is not taken the child can go on to ruin his life. The internet is one medium which can have many pros and cons if one does not keep the child under surveillance. There may be a lot of positives involved in the child getting addicted to the internet and at the same time it may also cause a negative impact on the child.

There are a lot of pros and cons of the addiction of the internet. The privacy given to the child can also result in the wrong usage of the internet. Is proper care is not taken the child may go on to watch the explicit material that is available on the internet which may leave a mark on his mind. The information that is given on the net can be useful at times but at the same time the teenager can fall into the false traps that are laid on the internet by con men. A little dose of violent as well as sexual information that is available can expose the child to the negative world and in turn fill the mind with rebellious feelings. In case the child enters certain chat rooms the perverts online can cause harm and feeling of distress among the teenager with their nasty messages. If the child has the liberty or access to the parents credit card or bank details one would never know as to how the con men would get the child into doing things and passing out the information which can be easily accessed by the con men to chip out the money. Keeping your firewall on for the same and blocking such sites is one of the best things that a parent would do. The child should not pass on the secretive information of the family on the internet.
